The casual pursuit of knowledge by a quantum computing hopeful.
Follow me as I attempt to go from absolute civilian to expert in Quantum Computing. I hope to get as far as I can learning about the quantum mechanics involved in the process and all the programming and math that goes along with it. My background in math is having recently taken a college algebra class on Sophia.org, I studied philosophy as a major and am a twice college drop out. Purely out of interest, I hope to expose for others and prove to myself that the only barrier to learning something is effort and along the way I plan to produce quick aids to explain more simply the concepts that are all too often defined circularly.
To begin with I will be following along with Introduction to Quantum Computing From a Layperson to a Programmer in 30 Steps by Hiu Yung Wong of SJSU, and, I am sure, taking the more than frequent side bar with Wikipedia for terminology look up and lord knows what engineering, physics, and math looks ups beyond that.
Lastly, I will be posting my weekly diet of whatever reading, youtubing, or anything else I consume to learn from as a consolidated reference list for the interested.
Cheers,
